Treetop walk shows Québec from its most beautiful side

The tree top walk Sentier des Cimes Laurentides in the province of Québec shows the French speaking part of Canada from its most beautiful side. Located in the middle of the Laurentide Mountains, a region with more than 300 lakes and the oldest mountain ranges in the world, nature alone takes your breath away. It is not for nothing that the region is considered Montreal's local recreation area

The 1.3-kilometer-long treetop walk offers unique perspectives of this scenic jewel at heights of up to 18 meters. On the way between the treetops - thanks to a maximum gradient of six percent, the walk is comfortable for everyone and suitable for strollers and wheelchairs - visitors are completely immersed in life in the forest network. Learning stations provide background information on the animals and plants, which they can discover with all their senses along the way.

A highlight is the 40-meter-high observation tower, from which visitors can look out like a bird over the Laurentide forests, to Mont-Tremblant and the lake landscape. Adrenaline junkies venture onto the giant net in its center with an unobstructed view down - from the height of a twelve-story building.

What else is on offer in the immediate vicinity

The Laurentides treetop path is located on the magnificent grounds of the former fish farm of the "MRC des Laurentides". The newly renovated stone main building houses the tree top store as well as the Chez Émile restaurant with terrace

The treetop path is located near Mont-Tremblant, is easily accessible from Montreal and Ottawa as part of a day trip and is directly adjacent to one of the longest cycling trails in Québec. A visit is worthwhile all year round - although the region is especially known for its brilliant sea of colors in the fall.
