The Cliffs of Moher are directly on the Wild Atlantic Way, the longest designated coastal route in the world, on the southwest coast of Ireland in County Clare. With over 200 meters height, Ireland's best-known steep cliffs extend over a length of more than eight kilometers.

Dark, grassy plateaus end here abruptly in almost vertically sloping cliffs and offer you a fascinating and dizzying view into the depths. Especially when the weather is fine, the Cliffs of Moher guarantee one of the most beautiful views the Green Island has to offer. From O'Brien's Tower you can even see the Aran Islands in the north. The watchtower was built in 1835 and is today one of the best vantage points of the Cliffs of Moher.

There is also something for bird lovers to see on the steep cliffs. About 30,000 birds from almost 30 different species have found a habitat on the coast of the wild Atlantic Ocean. Beside seagulls, algae and falcons there is a colony of the famous Atlantic puffins at the Cliffs of Moher.
