Description
Hidden among the mountains of Trentino and amidst the forests of the Val di Sella valley lies the Arte Sella art park. The international exhibition originated in 1986 and since then has embodied contemporary art as a creative process of "growing", focusing on the relationship between man and nature and respect for nature. Open air works of art are mainly made of natural materials such as trunks, branches, leaves and stones.
For some years now, the Arte Sella programme has also extended to the Costa Alma (Malga Costa). Artists have established a meeting place there. Works of art such as the Vegetale Cathedral, the Teatro di Arte Sella or the Trabucco di Montagna await visitors. Since 2016, international architects' works can also be admired in Villa Strobele park. Villa Strobele and Costa Alm are connected by the four-kilometre-long Montura Trail through the Sella Valley.
How to get there
- For those arriving by car, there is a parking lot at the "Al Legno" restaurant. From there it is a 15 to 20 minute walk to Malga Costa.
- In summer there is also an e-bike rental in Borgo Valsugana.
