Health resort with lots of style

In the summer months there is a lot to experience in the health resort Băile Felix, because this is already for a long time the most well-known and also most popular bathing place in whole Romania. The Băile Felix is also known beyond the national borders, so that there can be a large number of tourists here in the high season. Nevertheless, the place has never lost its charm, so that a longer stay here is worthwhile in any case. If you're not staying in one of the luxury hotels, but rather just going on a day trip, a visit to the Apollo-Felix outdoor pool is the perfect choice.

Pure relaxation and recreation

The outdoor swimming pool is particularly well known for its thermal water, which has been extensively recycled and the entire facility is therefore one of the most up-to-date and modern in the country. In the past, extensive renovation work was carried out here, so that today the facility is up to date and shines in a completely new splendour. Here you will find 10 pools where you can enjoy the cool water in the open air. So the choice is big at the Apollo-Felix outdoor pool. But also the size of the pools is something special, because the thermal pool is able to hold 1000m² and has so-called hydromassage facilities, which are located directly under the water. There are a total of 20 beds here where you can relax and get a massage and simply leave the stress of everyday life behind you. You'll also find the classic water games and various waterfalls, which underline the cultivated ambience of the outdoor pool.

Swimming fun for big and small

The two relaxation pools are also suitable for this. These are primarily intended for the adult visitors of the bath, because as the name suggests they can relax here completely. But it is not only in this pool that you can feel as light as a feather as a visitor to the complex, because the wave pool is also a good place for this. On a total of 330 m² you can feel the natural waves and just let yourself drift. But of course the small swimmers in the Apollo-Felix outdoor pool don't miss out either, because there are even two separate pools for them. Toddlers can play in the baby pool to their heart's content, while the older ones have fun in the junior pool. Both are also equipped with age-appropriate water features, so that no boredom should arise so quickly at this point.

Offers that leave nothing to be desired

If you need a little more exercise and variety, there are many active courses in the outdoor pool that you can take part in. Aquazumba and Aquagym are part of the agenda here, so that there is nothing against a complete sports programme in the facility at this point. Nordic Walking is also possible here and for the little ones there are special holiday and children's offers. If you have had enough of the activity programme, you can eat in the self-service restaurant or get a snack at the kiosk. Finally, of course, you should treat yourself to something extraordinary and take advantage of the massage and pedicure offer, which is also available at the Apollo-Felix outdoor pool.

By car

From Cluj-Napoca

Leave the city first in the direction of Floreşti and change to DN1, which you follow for the next 145 km. After this you reach the first foothills of Oradea and reach the Centura Oradea via the DC54. Follow this road until you reach the third roundabout where you change to the DN76, which takes you directly to the health resort Băile Felix and thus to the Apollo-Felix outdoor pool.

From Arad

You first take the DN69 towards Zimandcuz and then change to the DN79, which you follow for the next 72.5 km. In Salonta you pass two roundabouts and stay on the DN79, which finally takes you to just before Oradea. However, you do not drive into the city, but change to the Centura Oradea on the right. Then keep right on the DN76 and you will reach the health resort Băile Felix and thus also the Apollo-Felix outdoor pool.

From Satu Mare

From the city centre you first cross the river Someşul and then keep right on Strada Careiului (DN19), which you follow for about the next 66 km. After this you reach Valea lui Mihai, where you have to keep left to stay on DN19. This will now take you to Oradea, which you will also cross and change to DN76 in the city centre. This will take you directly to the health resort Băile Felix and thus to the Apollo-Felix outdoor pool.

With public transport

Both by bus and train you can easily get to Oradea, which is the next bigger town near the spa. From here you should then drive the few kilometres to Băile Felix by taxi.

By airplane

Oradea also has its own airport, the Oradea International Airport. It is approached regularly from Arad and Satu Mare.
