Nestled among the rolling green hills of the Ardennes and right next to the Coo Waterfalls, Plopsaland Ardennes combines nature and amusement across an area of 30,000 square meters – offering families a unique blend of scenic beauty and fun-filled attractions.
From Petting Zoo to Thrill Rides
With nearly 25 attractions, Plopsaland Ardennes has something for every pace – from gentle family rides to adrenaline-packed highlights. Classics include the 600-meter-long Bob-Luge (alpine slide), the electric go-kart track, and the "Mega Mindy Flyer" which lifts you 65 meters into the air for sweeping treetop views.
Water lovers can brave the "DinoSplash", a themed log flume ride through a volcanic jungle with dinosaurs, or take a more leisurely spin on "Maya Splash", the park’s tree-trunk-style water ride. Spinning cars bring an extra thrill to the "Vicky The Ride" coaster, and the "Bel RTL Chair Lift" offers panoramic views of the Amblève Valley and the nearby waterfalls.
In the interactive "Smurf Factory" kids help rescue their favorite blue friends from Gargamel’s castle – complete with a thrilling coaster ride through the "Cursed Land". Other family favorites include carousels, fantasy playgrounds, bunny rides, and the monkey island. At the small animal meadow, goats, chickens, and other animals offer a hands-on contrast to the excitement of the rides.
Seasonal events add even more variety. During Halloween, the park transforms into a delightfully spooky landscape with themed shows and family-friendly frights.
New: Majaland
Covering 5,000 square meters, the newly opened Majaland invites families into the cheerful world of Maya the Bee. Six themed attractions, including three brand-new rides, promise plenty of fun for kids. A dedicated dining area completes this colorful family zone.
Historical Information
The park's origins date back to the 1950s, when the first tourist attractions, like a scenic chairlift, were developed around the famous Coo Waterfalls. In 1976, the "Télécoo" amusement park officially opened, quickly becoming a popular family destination thanks to its alpine slide and classic rides – all set in harmony with the surrounding nature.
In 2005, the Plopsa Group acquired the park, introduced beloved Studio 100 characters, and rebranded it as "Plopsa Coo". As part of an international brand strategy, the park took its next big step in 2025 with a new name: Plopsaland Ardennes.
How to get there
Plopsaland Ardennes is located in the south of Belgium, right next to the famous Coo Waterfalls near Stavelot – in the heart of the Ardennes. The amusement park is easily accessible by both car and public transport.
By car, you can reach the park via the E42 (exit Malmedy) and then follow the signs toward Stavelot and Coo. Paid parking is available on site for cars and buses.
If you prefer to travel by public transport, you can take the train to Coo station – from there, it's just a short walk to the park entrance.
