Interesting facts

  • With an overall length of 15 km the hike is among the 3 longest hikes in Liechtenstein available on TouriSpo.
  • Hiking boots are not required, but the hike might be more enjoyable with sturdy footwear (especially in wet conditions). If you get hungry along the way, there are places to rest and get food. Nevertheless it’s recommended to also have enough water and food in your backpack when hiking or biking.

Route description

The hike starts in Bendern. The mountain trail leads across the ridge of mountain Eschnerberg and is equipped with many information panels. These will tell you about archaelogical discoveries, sagas and the area's history.

Slightly ascending the trail guides you passed the prehistoric colonies Lutzengütle and Malanser. The trail continues further through a forest to Schellenberg. Enjoy the beautiful view on the Rhein valley and the mountains of Rätikon, Alvier and Alpstein. A farm house from the 16th century, where you are able to experience farm life from 1900 is located in the middle of Schellenberg.

To get back to Bendrin, walk through forest Täliwald and the town Gamprin.
