The spa and wellness bath Calypso is divided into an outdoor and an indoor area, none of them inferior to the other in diversity and bathing pleasure.

The indoor area's special feature is its multi-pool. As indicated, this pool can be used in many different ways. Simply relax in 31°C/87,8°F warm water or use the massaging function of the pool's geysers. You may also treat a stiff neck to a soothing massage at one of the neck showers along the pool's edges.

For some physical activity, use the 25m long sports pool to swim your laps. Swimming alone might not be adventurous enough for you. In that case, go diving at the snorkel reef. This pool is 3.6 m deep with features that create a tropical feeling.

For the Young and the Old

Calypso also offers lots to explore for the youngest adventurers. A huge ship to climb on makes them feel like sailors and pirates searching for a precious treasure. A slide and a water temperature of 31,5°C/88,7°F are additional features that will make children enjoy this pool. 

Explore the Outdoors

The outdoor area of Calypso also offers various features like a brine pool and a separated children's pool. During summer times there are opportunities to beach volleyball or simply relax on the spacious lawns. The outside area, however, can also be used during winter time, since the pools are heated up to 32°C/89,6°F when it's cold out.

Spa and Wellness Bath Calypso offers, among others, a birch sauna and a ranta sauna. Birch sauna heats up to 80°C/176°F and fills the room with the special scent of the birch tree. Ranta sauna however heats up to 90°C/194°F. The word 'ranta' is Finnish and means 'beach', a great indicator for the level of relaxation you will reach.

For the ultimate deep relaxation we recommend you visit the meditation sauna that calms you down with a perfect interaction of light and warmth. To extend this feeling, use the silence room after having your sauna. This room called crystal grotto combines dark light and warmth in a flawless way. Ideal to day-dream and fully relax.

Calypso's spa area has everything your heart desires. Try full-body massages or massages that concentrate on a certain part of your body. You may also enjoy a soothing face massage. Aromatic oil and honey massages are among the highlights. Or you could treat yourself to a cleansing exfoliation.

Public transportation

Saarbrücken can also be reached by train. From the central train station you can take busses 30, 103, 104 or 126 to the stop Messegelände. The spa is located right there.
