Between Rocky Mountains and Badlands

Framed by the Rocky Mountain in the West, the Badlands in the East, the Northwest Territories in the North and the US state of Montana in the South, Alberta impresses with its many-sided nature. Five national parks, among them Canada's oldest, the Banff National Park, as well as over 300 province parks protect the manifold animal and plant world.

A gigantic ice field surrounds the Athabasca Glacier, one of the biggest glaciers in North America.
