Route description
This beautiful hike starts in Rissenthal. Past several viewing points and benches to rest, you cross the forest and enjoy the pristine nature. You will come across numerous canyons, which give this trail its name. Through a bird reserve and past a waterfall, you finally get back to where you started.

- Make sure to bring sturdy footwear on this track. Hiking boots are highly recommended. If you get hungry along the way, there are places to rest and get food. Nevertheless it’s recommended to also have enough water and food in your backpack when hiking or biking.
Equipment
Hiking shoes are required to prevent slipping and falling. This is particularly important in wet weather.
Getting here
By car
Take motorway A8, and leave the road at exit Merzig. Follow L157 to Losheim, turn right onto L370 when you get to Brotdorf, and follow the road to hargarten. Turn left onto L377 to Rissenthal. You can park at the village centre.
Public transportation:
Take a train to Merzig railway station. From there, bus 201 takes you to Rissenthal.
