Salztal Paradies Bad Sachsa

With a 5,000-square-meter aquatic area featuring indoor and outdoor pools, a children’s pool, a lazy river and whitewater channel, a 95-meter-long tube slide, a wave pool, a lap pool, and two giant hot tubs, Salztal Paradies offers fun and excitement for all ages.

The peaceful and beautiful sauna area offers the opportunity for deep relaxation of body, mind, and soul. Healthy sauna experiences are the focus here, which is why only high-quality organic infusions made with natural ingredients are used. There is an organic sauna, a Finnish light sauna, a herbal sauna, a Finnish relaxation sauna, a Finnish dry sauna with a whirlpool, an ice fountain, a bathing grotto, and a plunge pool.

Ice Rink

Those who prefer active recreation will find opportunities to do so at the Salztal Paradies ice rink. With a 1,350-square-meter ice surface, the ice rink promises visitors year-round fun on the ice. The ice rink can also be rented for private, special events.  In addition, during the winter season, a kids’ disco every Saturday starting at 4 p.m. and an ice disco starting at 7 p.m. invite visitors to skate and dance to the beat.

American Soul Food Restaurant

The “Paradise Diner” restaurant at the water park has seating for about 90 people, making it perfect for the whole family. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite during your visit or a hearty meal after an active day at Salztal Paradies, you’ll always find just the right thing at the Paradise Diner.

Salztal Paradies is the ideal place to spend a whole day with the family, burn off some energy, or simply enjoy the day and relax.

Visitors can sweat it out in five different saunas ranging from 60°C to 100°C. At the sauna bar, you’ll find a selection of snacks, various soft drinks and beers, as well as juices, coffee, and cocktails.

60°C Bio-Sauna
Saunas typically have dry air. This is not the case in the bio-sauna, where a moderate temperature is accompanied by pleasant humidity.

70°C Finn Light Sauna
Slowly changing color gradients create pleasant lighting atmospheres.

80° C Herbal Sauna
A copper kettle hangs above the heating element. This kettle is filled with hay, herbs, and water. The water absorbs the plant components and allows them to evaporate. This creates a pleasant scent reminiscent of “a mountain meadow in summer.”

90° C Finnish Relaxation Sauna
Special speakers designed for saunas have been installed in this sauna. The music does not come from a CD but is streamed from the internet. The advantage is that with over 30,000 internet radio stations, there’s never a dull moment.

100°C Finnish Dry Sauna
This dry sauna features a pleasant, dry, and hot climate, with humidity often ranging from 8 to 15 percent. The sauna is designed with tiered seating so that you can adjust the temperature by choosing where to sit—the higher you sit, the warmer it gets.

The easiest way to get here is by car. Right underneath the first building you can find a roofed car park. From there, you can access the bowling, tennis ,sports centre, and rainbow land the quickest. In front of the ice hall (red roof, white walls) there is another car park, the best spot if you want to go to the pool or the ice rink. Furthermore, there is an underground car park underneat the ice hall.
