Route description
From Davos square (Platz) drive to Davos Dorf. The route's name is Route 631. Turn left at hotel Cresta into Bobbahnstrasse and cross the promenade. Follow Strelaalpstrasse which will lead you uphill to Schatzalp. From there on the path gets steeper and you will ride on loose rocks to Strelapass where you have a great view on Davos. This is the start of a challenging single trail with narrow turns till Sapün and an old settlement called Walsersiedlung to admire. An easier trail leads you from Sapün to Langwies.
Now keep right at hotel Alte Post and do not follow Route 631 to Arosa. After about 6km driving slightly uphill you will reach the settlement Strassberg. Riding over green meadows you will reach lake Grünsee and Durannapass, where you start descending passed shale and Serneuser Schwendi to the hamlet Cavadürli. Then take the single trail towards Wolfangpass and from there ride back to Davos.
Interesting facts
- With an overall length of 28 miles the bike trail is among the 3 longest bike Trails in Switzerland available on TouriSpo.
- There are places to buy beverages and food along the track. However it’s always recommended to bring enough water and food along with you.
Variations
Take the cable car Parsennbahn to Weissfluhjoch and bike down in a steep descent Haupter Täli towards Strelapass. That way you do not have to bike up the long way to Davos.
