Between Binz and Prora stretches a fine sandy beach over twelve kilometers long, offering stunning views all the way to Cape Arkona and the wooded hills of the Granitz.

The beach of the Binz Bay impresses with its fine, light-colored sand, gently sloping shoreline, and sheltered location on the Prorer Wiek. Whether you're visiting with family, love sporty activities, or simply seek relaxation – thanks to spacious beach sections and numerous access points from town, there's always plenty of room for carefree enjoyment by the sea.

Diverse Beach Sections

The coastline between Binz and Prora offers plenty of variety: Sports enthusiasts will find beach volleyball, surfing, and kite surfing options around Mukran. FKK (nudist) and dog-friendly sections are also available, offering secluded spots for undisturbed bathing. Cultural events and small-scale festivals provide extra summer entertainment near Beach Access 7.

Families especially appreciate the gently sloping entrances into the water and the play areas at the family beach. From here, it's easy to reach the promenade, the Binz pier, and the historic Prora building complex.

Along the beach of Binz Bay, you'll also find several beach bars and restaurants that are perfect for a scenic culinary break. Particularly popular is Strandbar 28 at the Binz pier, offering cold drinks and snacks. Other highlights include Café Strandläufer with fresh fish dishes and Mariandl am Meer, which brings Bavarian charm to the Baltic Sea coast.
