Easy Trails on Idyllic Paths
The hike starts and ends at Bergkurgarten Bayerisch Gmain, and can be done in around three hours. The trail does not feature many gradients, so it can be walked relatively comfortably. Nevertheless, do not forget to wear sturdy shoes.
Always in for a Break
On your way, you will come across plenty of benches and seats, so you can take as many breaks as you like. Walking through the depths of Alpgartenbach stream, you can enjoy the view of Bergachklamm gorge near Bad Reichenhall. This hike is best done between May and October.

- You're traveling a distance of 3 km on this moderate trail. The hike is therefore not too long. The average length of all hikes in Bavaria is 43 km.
- Make sure to bring sturdy footwear on this track. Hiking boots are highly recommended.

Getting here
From Bad Reichenhall, follow Berchtesgadener Straße towards Berchtesgaden, and turn right just after entering Bayerisch Gmain, crossing a bridge to Lattenbergstraße. Only follow this road briefly before you turn onto Alpentalstraße, which leads you straight to the car park.
From Berchtesgaden, start at Hallthurm and drive past the sports field in Bayerisch Gmain. Follow the road straight and turn left to cross a bridge, which leads you to Lattenbergstraße. Follow this road briefly, then turn onto Alpentalstraße and drive to the car park.
