Swimming Lake
Particularly among fishing enthusiasts the Allensteiger Stadtsee is well-known and popular. Located on the outskirts you'll have the perfect site to spend a relaxing day with fishing. The huge fish stock consists of predator and white fish.
For all nature lovers, the lake promenade with a length of appr. 2.5 km (1.6 miles) attracts visitors for some jogging, walking or just a little stroll to enjoy the natural environment.
You can have lots of fun here during the winter months, too. If the ice layers on the lake are thick enough, you'll have a perfect opportunity for ice-skating and ice-hiking.
In summer, you can go out on the lake by boat, relax on the open-air lawns and have a swim in a natural environment. In addition, the swimming lake is located in the vicinity of the Waldbad swimming pool, which includes a heated pool.
