Once used as gas power station, it nowadays functions as a central festival hall for the Ruhrtriennale. Other huge events take place here, too. Embedded in the Westpark, the hall nowadays displays a mixture of tradition and modernity.
For more general information about the Jahrhunderthalle, its history, and its environment, we recommend to contact the visitors' centre in the 'Pumpenhaus'. There, you will also find the canteen of the Jahrhunderthalle, which serves delicious food.
