Historical Information
In 1971, the original Märchenpark Haßloch was opened by the Schneider family. For several generations, the family had operated a Lilliputian circus, which was given a permanent home in the park in the form of a Lilliputian village. This miniature town remained a fixture in the Haßloch amusement park until the mid-1990s. Early attractions also included the “Wild Mouse” roller coaster, a dolphin show, and various fairytale-themed rides from before 1971.
After the addition of new attractions and shows, the park was renamed Holiday Park in 1973. Following the acquisition by Belgian theme park group Plopsa in 2010, several million euros were invested in the park’s expansion.
The next major milestone came in 2024: the rebranding to Plopsaland Deutschland. This step marked the park’s full integration into the international Plopsa brand world – bringing in new characters, shows, and attractions to further enhance the experience for families.
