Description
The Inselsberg Fun Park with the summer toboggan track is located between Tabarz and Brotterode, on the Kleiner Inselsberg.
Summer toboggan track
On the summer toboggan track in the Inselsberg Fun Park, you can whizz down the stainless steel channel with twelve steep curves at speeds of up to 40 km/h. For another ride on the track, you'll be pulled back up to the top station 65 metres higher with the automatic lift system. Fun for the whole family is guaranteed here.
Wie-Flyer
A particularly spectacular attraction in the fun park is the Wie-Flyer. With this ride, you fly through the air at up to 40 km/h in aeroplane gondolas that are attached to a rail system at the top. Since each gondola is equipped with an infinitely variable electric motor, you can control it individually and continuously without colliding with other "pilots". Especially in the curves of the 500-metre-long track you can experience a special aeroplane feeling.
Rennsteig-Fox
On the Rennsteig-Fox you are secured with a harness and two carabiners on a rope and whiz from one platform to the next. In between, you have to overcome short climbing elements on the over 240-metre-long Flying Fox course. On the longest rope slide you fly up to 85 metres through the air.
Adventure playground
The adventure playground at the Fun park offers action for young and old. Younger visitors can let off steam on the playground with its slide, climbing castle, mini-digger and bumper cars. Older visitors can try out the bungee trampoline or relax on the adjacent benches with hot and cold drinks or ice cream.
Winter
The Fun park is also open in the winter months from November to March, in sunny dry weather. After skiing in the Tabarz Inselsberg ski area, it is a good idea to make a detour to the Fun park.
How to get there
Coming from Erfurt, take the A4 and follow it until you reach exit 41a-Waltershausen. Turn right there and then right again via Langenhain onto the B88. At Tabarz, turn right onto Inselsbergstraße and follow the road to Inselsberg-Funpark.
