After you reached the Memminger Hut the previous stage at the E5 long-distance trail across the Alps from Oberstdorf to Meran, this stage will lead you further to the city of Zams. After mostly ascending during the last stages, this stage descends over 1,800 meters, so hiking poles will spare your knees.
After staying in Zams, you will reach the Braunschweiger Hut on the next stage of the E5 classic hike.
