Route description
Varied walking tour on the wooded plateau.Route: From the village centre of Nova Ponente/Deutschnofen, proceed on trail E5, 1 until you reach the Wölflhof farm (1h) (turn right off trail E5 heading to Colle for an optional 20-min. excursion to Bauer im Wald farm) – take forest trail n. 1 to the “Toten Moos” (1h) – trail n. 1 (a 5-min. side-trip to the Rotwand is rewarding) – proceed to the Schneiderwiesen Inn – Bauernkohlern Inn (2h). Take the cableway to Bolzano (please check times!). From the bottom station in Kampill, take the city bus (runs half-hourly) to the centre. Return to Nova Ponente by bus.

Getting here
Take highway's exit “Bolzano Nord/Eggental”, turn right direction Bolzano/Bozen, after about 0,5 km on roundabout keep left and head towards Val d’Ega (SS 241). Keep driving up to Ponte Nova. At Ponte Nova’s crossroads, turn to the right and continue to Nova Ponente (about 30 min. from highway toll booth).
