Description
Right at the mountain station of the Kombibahn Penken, the FunSportStation is a varied adventure area for adventurers of all ages. Surrounded by the Zillertal mountains, you can get active here, try out new things or simply have fun.
Highlights include the fast-paced mountain scooter route, an e-trial course with small electric bikes and a varied motor skills course with 12 stations for skill and balance. Climbing enthusiasts can also try out the nearby KnorrenNadel and Steinbock via ferratas - the appropriate rental equipment is available directly on site.
The station also has plenty to offer families with children: The large BergSpielPlatz with climbing tower, tree house, swings and slides makes children's hearts beat faster. The lovingly designed “LärchwaldBachl” water playground provides refreshment - a real highlight on warm summer days.
New from summer 2025: the “Beweg dich schlau!” exercise trail based on Felix Neureuther's concept complements the offer with playful promotion of coordination and brainpower.
How to get there
The FunSportStation is located directly at the mountain station of the KombibahnPenken - high above Mayrhofen in the heart of the Zillertal. The ascent is easy with the cable car, whose valley station is located on the southern outskirts of Mayrhofen and is easily accessible both by car and by public transport.
By car, take the Inntalautobahn (A12) to the Zillertal exit or alternatively via the Achenpass (B181) to Wiesing. From there, the B169 leads directly into the Zillertal as far as Mayrhofen. The access road to the valley station is well signposted in the village. Day parking spaces are available on site for a fee.
If you arrive by public transport, take the Zillertalbahn from Jenbach to Mayrhofen station. From there, it's just a few minutes' walk to the valley station - alternatively, the free Mayrhofner Bergbahnen summer shuttle will take you directly to the start of your mountain adventure.
