Route description

Hike along Alleestraße from the car park until Loisachbrücke bridge. Walk over Promenadenstraße and turn right to cross the bridge. Walk further on Fürstenstraße and turn left into Frühlingsstraße. Then continue to Kramerstraße and turn right.

Now go straight, then follow the right turn onto the street Am Feldkreuz until you reach the hiking trail at Kramerplateau. First walk up the hill and then left to Maximilianshöhe. Afterwards, go back the same way on Kramerplateauweg.

For the way back, turn right to the chapel Kriegergedächtniskapelle and walk over Kramerhang until Brauhausstraße. Then, take Brauhausstraße, Lazarettstraße and Fürstenstraße back to Loisachbrücke.

Getting here

By car

Take motorway A95 until Eschenlohe. From there, take B2 until Garmisch-Partenkirchen. After the tunnel, drive towards Garmisch. Follow Burgstraße and turn left at the bridge Loisachbrücke into Alleestraße. You reach the car park after 200m.

From Mittenwald, take B2 to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Follow the main road and turn left at the fifth traffic light into Hindenburgstraße. Left at the next crossroads. At bakery Müller, turn right into Alleestraße. The car park will be on the right side.

From Grainau/Reutte, take B23 to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Drive towards Munich and turn right at the bridge into Alleestraße. After 200m you will see the car park.

Start at the bridge Loisachbrücke, car park Wittelsbacher Park.
