  • Behind the glass front of the National Park Centre, a mountain silhouette can already be seen from the outside, embodying the central theme of the exhibitions.
  • In the House of Mountains you can learn about nature from the bottom of Lake Königsee to the summit of the Watzmann. Here you can see the transition from "water" to "forest".
  • There is a beautiful view from the outdoor area of the National Park Centre. On the panorama path you can see the peaks of the Watzmann, the Jenner or the Hochkalter.
  • The modern "House of the Mountains" was opened in 2013. Characteristic features are the cladding of wooden slats and the large steel cube with its glass front.
