Just a short walk from the center of St. Blasien, the Windberg Waterfall offers a charming natural escape right in the heart of the Black Forest.
Tucked into the lush Windberg Gorge, the waters of the Windbergbächle stream plunge about six meters over a rocky ledge. While it may not be the tallest waterfall in the region, its idyllic setting and proximity to town make it a perfect destination for a relaxing nature walk.

How to get there
The Windberg Waterfall is located on the eastern edge of St. Blasien in the southern Black Forest – nestled in the idyllic Windberg Gorge.
By car
If you're traveling by car, take the B500 to St. Blasien. Parking is available in the town center, ideally around Friedrichstraße. From there, the Blasiwaldweg trail begins and takes you directly to the waterfall in about 20 minutes on foot.
By public transport
To reach St. Blasien by public transport, take a train to the Seebrugg or Schluchsee stations. From there, buses run regularly into town. Get off at the "St. Blasien ZOB" stop – from here, it’s just a short walk to Friedrichstraße and the starting point of the trail to the waterfall.
