Route description
Starting at Fieberbrunn you have many options to get to St. Jakob the first little village on the tour. We recommend the loop road „Rundweg Buchensteinwand“. It leads from Fieberbrunn via Schönau/Petrach and Vornbichl to St. Jakob and then towards the cable car station of Bergbahn Pillersee. You will pass through idyllic hamlets like Flecken and Schwendt which belong to the community St. Ulrich am Pillersee.
Arriving Straß you cross the road Pillerseetal-Landesstrasse and continue shortly on the opposite side. At the sports shop Sport Günther turn right and pass the town center of St. Ulrich to get to beautiful lake Pillersee,which the region was named after. Alongside the shore the trail gets broad but it is also often used by hikers. It leads to St. Adolari where you will find a famous pilgrimage church.
Turn left onto the trail towards a beautiful natural monument: the romantic ravine -Öfenschlucht- with its unique rock formations. Now continue on Pillersee-Landesstrasse to the town center of Waidring. Afterwards follow the town street (above cable car station of Gondelbahn zur Steinplatte) and get through the underbridge of B178 on the bike trail towards Erpfendorf. This trail leads till Edelgrieß. To stay on the bike trail towards Erpfendorf you will have to change sides through an underbridge a second time.
From there you have two options: either you change immediately from Grossachendamm towards Kirchdorf or you stay on that side and use the underbridge. From the town center in Kichdorf follow the trail on the left side of the river until you cross a national road at Moosen. Now you reach St. Johann in Tirol via Oberhofen passed the airfield towards the old farms of Winkl-Sonnseite. After a couple ascents and descents you reach Fieberbrunn.

Getting here
By car
Coming from Autobahn A10: take exit Bischofshofen on A10. Continue west towards St. Johann/Zell am See/Kitzbühel. On the west shore of lake Zeller drive north to Saalfelden. Now continue west via Leogang to Fieberbrunn.
Coming from A 12: take exit Wörgl on A12. Continue east via Scheffau, Ellmau and Going till St. Johann in Tirol. Now further east into Pillerseetal and till Fieberbrunn.
Starting point of the tour is Fieberbrunn (train station 780m). You can also start in St. Jakob in Haus, St. Ulrich am Pillersee, Waidring, Kirchdorf in Tirol and St. Johann in Tirol.
