Description
The Zweribach Waterfalls lie secluded in the protected forest near Simonswald and captivate visitors with untamed Black Forest charm. Thundering water, moss-covered rocks, and untouched surroundings make this a truly special nature experience – far from the crowds.
Hidden deep in the Simonswald forest, the water cascades down in two impressive stages – making the Zweribach Waterfalls one of the most striking in the southern Black Forest. Surrounded by dense woodland and pristine nature, this spot offers a glimpse into an especially wild and ancient landscape.
Getting there is a bit of an adventure: the trail is narrow, sometimes steep and rocky. Sure-footedness and sturdy shoes are a must – but the breathtaking view and the roar of the falls are well worth the effort.
You can reach this natural highlight in several ways: from the hiking parking lot near Haldenschwarzhof, it’s just about 2 kilometers on foot. For a longer route, start in Obersimonswald at the "Gasthaus Engel" bus stop and follow the roughly 5-kilometer trail through the wild and romantic landscape to the falls.
