Description

After the Olympic Games in 1972, the 300 ha (741 acres) large park was successfully transformed into a local recreational area in the center of Munich. Joggers, cyclists and swimmers will get their money's worth here. The swimming pool is accessible to the public.

Throughout the summer, the Olympia Park hosts numerous events, such as an open air cinema at the Olympia Lake or various kind of concerts. Popular tourist attractions are the Sea Life Center and the BMW World, among many others. In winter, you can enjoy yourself while cross-country skiing, sledging or skiing. In the ice sports center, you also have the possibility to ice-skate.

On Olympia Hill you can enjoy a fantastic view and sit down for a picnic. To get a better view you can also take the lift to the 185 m (202 yards) high observation platform of the Olympia Tower. There you can enjoy another dimension of the spectacular view over Munich while having an exquisite meal in the restaurant.
