The building opened in 2007 is a masterpiece of modern architecture, perfectly presenting the various brands of BMW Group, from BMW, Mini and Motor Cars to Rolls Royce. The mix between vehicle roll-out and exhibition makes BMW Welt a communicative and stimulating place, where customers as well as visitors will be impressed.

Right across from the company's headquarters, history and present of the brand BMW become one. Numerous restaurants, shops, and the delivering plant make a visit to BMW Welt a great experience for the young and the old.

Guided Tours and Exhibitions

Look behind the scenes of the unique exhibition hall on a guided tour through BMW Welt. If you are interested in the history of BMW as a company and a brand, its background as well as its visions for the future, you should go on a tour through the museum. It was decided in the late 90s, that a delivery plant combined with a museum was to be built. A suitable place was easily found, as the construction was supposed to emerge near the headquarters. Out of 275 applicants from all over the world, the Professor Prix in cooperation with the architectural firm Coop Himmelbl(l)auf were chosen to plan and execute the gigantic project.

In 2003, the former BMW car park was demolished, starting the preparations. The foundation stone was laid in 2004. BMW Welt was inaugurated in 2007, and has been attracting millions of visitors since.
